Key Zones of Dust 2 Callouts

The map is divided into several main large zones. Let’s start with them.

  • Long A – this is a long road leading to bombsite A. Flashbangs and sniper rifle shots are usually heard here at the beginning of the round. Of course, due to the fact that this location is long and tunnel-like, it is very popular among AWP fans.
  • Upper B (Tunnels) – near bombsite B, there is a building divided into two parts. They are connected by a staircase. Obviously, the upper part is called Upper B. From here, through a small tunnel, the attacking players usually start their push onto the site.
  • Mid – the central part of the map, which divides the CT and terrorist zones with a high door. A sniper duel often occurs here at the very beginning of the round, and one of the teams loses one player.
  • Lower B/Short A – as mentioned earlier, near bombsite B, there is a building that has not only an upper part but also a lower part. If you leave it in the direction of point A, you can climb onto the box and get to a position called Short.

The map is well-balanced: neither team has a significant advantage. But, when it comes to the sites, there are differences in popularity. Point A is in higher demand among attackers because site B is harder to take by assault.

Point B is usually accessed through a narrow and inconvenient tunnel near Upper B. Here, terrorists are usually at a disadvantage because their movements are limited. The situation is especially bad if T-s fail to use their grenades properly before pushing onto the site.

Above we looked at the main callouts Dust 2, which indicate large locations on the map, without going into detail. Now let’s take a closer look at micro-moments. We mean locations that allow you to very accurately indicate the position of an enemy or ally on the map.

  • T Spawn – This is where attacking players spawn at the start of the round. From here, they can proceed in all key directions: Upper B, Short A, Long A, or Mid.
  • T Plat – This position lies between T Spawn and Upper B. It allows terrorists to comfortably face CTs if defenders decide to push T Spawn. Terrorists can take cover behind objects during a fight, while CTs show their full-player model to the enemy.
  • Outside Tunnels – This is where the defense will go if they decide to push T spawn. The position is located right after the exit from upper B. This is also where the terrorists run when they plan to attack point B.
  • Upper Tunnels – As mentioned earlier, this location is near the terrorist entry to the B site. The bomb plant position is separated from the attackers by just a short tunnel.
  • Lower Tunnels – If players come to upper B and at some point give up on the idea of attacking B, they can turn right, go down the stairs, and get to the Lower Tunnels, from where they can attack A site through short or go to the side of the mid, which is controlled by the counter-terrorists.
  • Dog/Close – This position is located immediately after exiting Upper B toward the B site. It’s a sneaky spot where a CT can hide completely out of sight. If the attack does not check this position, the round often ends in failure, because a cunning defender can simply shoot the helpless terrorists in the side and back. Knowing these Dust 2 CS2 callouts is a very important thing. If your teammates ask you to clear this position and you miss it simply because you don’t know where it is, get ready: you will be receiving a lot of insults in voice chat.
  • Fence – Another hidden position farther than Dog/Close. Once again, terrorists make a grave mistake if they fail to check this location. We told you that attacking point B is a very difficult matter, remember? As you can see, we were right. There are a lot of complexities here.
  • B Plat – When looking out from Upper Tunnels toward the B site, you’ll see this position. It’s a relatively large area that defenders rarely use to fend off attacks, as there are no objects to hide behind.
  • Back Plat – Back Plat is a different story. There is a box and other objects here, hiding behind which the counter-terrorist can successfully fend off the attack. If CT is positioned correctly, they will see the entire game model of the terrorists who come out of the Upper Tunnels, while the terrorists will see only a few pixels, which are very difficult to hit.
  • B Car – Another position among CS2 Dust 2 callouts that must always be checked. After exiting the Upper Tunnels, turn right and then right again. Here, you will find a car. There is also often a counter-terrorist hiding behind it, who may not be visible at all. This is bad news. But there is also good news: it is easy to throw a Molotov cocktail here or just start shooting at the car. It is not bulletproof, so the enemy will be killed even if he was not visible.
  • Closet – This position is near B Car, deeper into the corner.
  • Big Box – This is a really big box that covers part of the bombsite and “symbolizes” the entrance into B plat. A very convenient position for defense, because you can spin around this box as you like. To deal you damage through this object, the opponent needs to use only the AWP. All other weapons will be ineffective.
  • B Default – This is where the bomb is planted. Attacking it head-on is challenging due to the numerous objects defenders can use for cover. So, terrorists often bombard the position with grenades before attacking. Molotov cocktails are particularly effective.
  • Double Stack – Two boxes are located near the default. They obstruct the terrorists view and serve as a protective object for counter-terrorists.

  • Back Site – This is the furthest point of the B site (B Default). Also covered by objects that protect it from bullets. It is popular among counter-terrorists during defense and terrorists during the retake.
  • Window – This is one of those CS2 Dust 2 callouts that pays tribute to the history of this great game. A position that has remained almost unchanged for over 20 years. This is a climbable window located in Default. You need to climb onto the boxes that are right under this window.
  • Scaffolding – Near the window is a corner called Scaffolding. Here, players can hide from enemies approaching from Mid to B.
  • B Doors – These doors connect the B site and Mid. It’s often used by terrorists during split attacks on the B site.
  • B Boxes – Here we are talking about the boxes that are located immediately after exiting door B, on the right side. The player who occupied this point can comfortably shoot at the entire CT mid, showing only a few pixels of the game model.
  • CT Mid – A position that is located near the CT spawn. To get here, simply turn right and face the double doors. This is CT mid. From here, the CT sniper often tries to kill his “colleague” on the opposite side of the map.
  • CT Spawn – Here, counter-terrorists spawn. It’s a building with a roof which has two exits: one toward CT Mid and another toward Long A.
  • Mid Doors – This door divides Mid into two sections: one controlled by terrorists and the other by CTs.
  • Mid – This is the general name for the central part of the map, which includes the points that are initially under the control of both sides.
  • Xbox – Above we said that if you exit the Lower Tunnel, you face a box that allows you to climb up to short A on your own. This box is called Xbox.
  • Palm – A position on Mid from the terrorist side with a deepening in the walls. This spot is often used by an attacking sniper who can easily eliminate defending players moving towards Short.
  • Green – A position near Palm. It is also favored by snipers, as it provides excellent opportunities for precise long-range shots using an AWP. This is a big advantage over opponents with regular rifles.
  • Top Mid – If you go to the terrorist-controlled side of Mid and move forward, you will encounter a rise. Once you reach the peak of this rise, you will find yourself in a position called Top Mid.
  • Suicide – This is a long tunnel with a roof that terrorists can get to if they jump down from their spawn. Some Dust 2 callouts CS2 names speak for themselves, and this is exactly the case. The location is called suicide because if you jump here at the beginning of the round, you will immediately come under fire from an enemy sniper. Often, this is where the round ends for such an attack player.
  • Long Doors – A door through which terrorists can pass from their spawn to Long and vice versa – with the help of which CT players can get to the side of the T spawn.
  • Outside Long – This position is immediately outside the Long Doors. This is where a lot of flashbangs go off at the start of the round as both sides try to take this strategically important point as quickly and safely as possible.
  • Blue – A container located right outside the Long Doors. Players can hide here to ambush defenders pushing the T spawn. However, the position is very popular, so a Molotov cocktail often flies here, which ruins all cunning plans.
  • Pit – A pit at the beginning of Long from the terrorist side. This position is difficult to retake as its defender shows only their head, making them a challenging target.
  • Side Pit – The position that is located to the left of the Pit. It has only one benefit: if a counter-terrorist manages to get here unnoticed, they will be able to shoot careless terrorists in the back after they exit the Long Doors.
  • Pit Plat – Located to the right of the Pit. This elevated position is perfect for snipers.
  • A Long – The long space that leads from the Pit to Site A.
  • A Car – If you, playing as terrorists, go to long A, this position will be straight ahead and to the right. There is a car there, behind which counter-terrorists often take cover. This is one of those CS2 Dust 2 map callouts that requires the use of a Molotov cocktail or at least a high explosive grenade if possible.
  • A Ramp – The rise you’ll face after going through Long A towards plant A.
  • Barrels – Small barrels are located near the A Ramp. For unknown reasons, sometimes, they are stronger than the thickest walls in the game. Shooting at a player behind these barrels often does no harm to them.
  • Goose – A position behind the barrels. It is named Goose because… there’s a goose drawn here. Very simple.
  • A Cross – The place that leads to the CT spawn after passing the Long. Terrorists in 99% of cases close this passage with smoke, because it is almost never safe to pass here.
  • CT Ramp – The ramp that counter-terrorists cross from their spawn, moving towards the Long.
  • A Default Plant – A place near the boxes on site A where you can plant a bomb. A disadvantage is that it is vulnerable to fire from the Long.
  • A Safe Plant – The bomb can be planted by hiding behind the aforementioned boxes, protecting yourself from the defenders who are trying to kill you from Long. This position for planting the bomb is called A Safe Plant.
  • A Platform – Located between Default and Short. This is an open, unprotected area.
  • Elevator – A position below plant A. It got its name because one counter-terrorist can boost another, and the teammate will get to the A site without having to go around the Ramp.
  • A Ninja – Boxes on Site A where a player can hide from opponents at the Plant or Ramp.
  • A Short – A position that is parallel to long A. Connects plant A with the exit to mid. This location is on the list of map Dust 2 callouts, which the defense almost always tries to seriously strengthen. Terrorists often attack plant A from Short.
  • Stairs – The stairs connecting Short A and Mid.
  • Cat – A transitional position linking Short and Mid.
  • Catwalk – A long passage to the right of Mid leading to Short. It’s located on a slight elevation.

How to Learn Dust 2 Map Callouts in CS2?

We recommend starting by studying the theory. It is not necessary to memorize everything by heart. Just read about the names of various positions. Some associative links will definitely form in your memory.

After that, run around an empty lobby and study how the positions look in practice.

Afterward, you can start playing real matches. It is not recommended to do this right away from scratch, because during the in-game action, under pressure from teammates, you might get confused and forget even what you have already learned.

Dust 2 Map Tips and Tricks for CT and T Sides

For counter-terrorists

  • Do not expose yourself unnecessarily to enemy fire. The most dangerous spots for this are: Short, Long Doors and Outside Tunnels near bombsite B. Snipers often lie in wait here for their victims.
  • Do not throw grenades randomly. This is especially important for defenders of site B. With just one Molotov cocktail and a smoke grenade, you can significantly slow down the terrorists push onto B. If you don’t have these grenades, you will become an easy target for opponents who have an advantage in numbers.
  • If you’ve bought AWP, don’t go for a Mid shootout too often at the start of the round. It’s an easy way to quickly leave your team outnumbered.

For terrorists

  • If you are attacking point B, leave tunnel B with the full team as little as possible. You will get in each other’s way and won’t be able to shoot simultaneously. Moreover, a single grenade thrown at the right time by the site defender can stop your push onto the plant. For example, use split tactics (Mid + Upper Tunnels) more often.
  • Do not plant the bomb in the most enclosed spots of the site. If a counter-terrorist starts defusing it with cover from a teammate, you will not be able to stop the process.
