Italy is an unusual map for the modern map pool of the game. The main difference between this location and the most popular ones is that terrorists do not need to plant the bomb. On this map, the attacking side is the counter-terrorists. They need to rescue the hostages.

The map has not gained much popularity on a professional or even a somewhat serious level since terrorists have a significant advantage here. But Italy has become a favorite among many simple players who have enjoyed playing here since CS 1.6.

So, if you plan to test your skills here, you must learn all Italy CS2 callouts because your opponents will likely be players who know this location like the back of their hand.

Fortunately, learning all the key positions on this map is not difficult. First, BloodyCase has prepared an overview covering even the most minor details. Key Zones of Italy Callouts

Callouts CS2 Italy can logically be divided into four groups. They represent the main locations on this undeniably beautiful map. Since there is no bomb plant mode here, sites A and B are absent. Let’s look at the main sections this map is divided into.

  • T Spawn – This is where the terrorist team spawns at the beginning of each round. Here, they can also buy weapons. The spawn is located close to the hostages, so the T side can quickly set up a defense.
  • CT Spawn – A similar position for the counter-terrorist team. The areas near the spawn can also be used for defense because terrorists often like to push their opponents. This is a map where players frequently act not according to strategic setups but just for fun, so you can expect anything.
  • Market – A large central area with open space which is located to CT Spawn’s right. This is where the first firefights often happen if both teams decide not to sit back in defense but instead take the initiative.
  • Long – A long path closer to T Spawn. As expected, snipers often use it, so counter-terrorists should use smoke or flash grenades when moving into this area. Otherwise, there is a high risk of becoming the first frag and giving the enemy team an early advantage.

Learning these Italy callouts CS2 is the foundation. Start with them. After that, you can learn smaller, local spots on the map that will help you in micro-moments during rounds.

All CS2 Italy Callouts

Let’s take a look at these more minor positions on the map. As you remember, we mentioned that most positions have intuitively understandable names. Even if you don’t know the name of a particular spot on the map, you can simply guess it by saying the first word that comes to mind in voice chat 😊. Well, let’s move on to studying these positions.

  • T Spawn – The position where terrorists spawn at the beginning of rounds. This callout, for example, can be used when counter-terrorists push. If you notice that one of the “bad guys” has stayed at their base, just say “T Spawn”. Be sure, after that, your teammates will rush there.
  • CT Spawn – The point where the counter-terrorist team spawns. It is located on the opposite side of the map. Nothing special. It’s just the place where players appear.
  • T House – If you are playing as terrorists, this position will be on your left-hand side after spawning. It is a building that is very important for repelling enemy attacks and protecting hostages (if the word “protection” can be applied to terrorists 😊).
  • Snipe Window – A position located at the exit from T House. Snipers love this spot because it offers a good view of the central part of the map. In fact, everything between Market and T House is easily controlled by a terrorist sniper from here. So, this is another reason for counter-terrorists to buy grenades before the round.
  • T Stairs – Stairs that allow terrorists to move toward a part of the map located near Long.
  • T Mid – The central part of the map. It is conditionally divided into two sections: one is quickly occupied by terrorists at the beginning of the round, and counter-terrorists control the other. Obviously, in this case, we are dealing with the area controlled by terrorists.
  • CT Mid – This is the central area of the map initially taken by counter-terrorist forces. Unlike terrorists, the CT side must always take control of these locations because, as a reminder, on the Italy map, counter-terrorists are the attacking side. This means they must move into open space, from where they can plan the round’s development, choosing from multiple options.
  • T Tunnel – An underground tunnel that leads toward the Market area. This is one of the CS Italy callouts that counter-terrorists must always check during an attack. Otherwise, there is a high risk of falling into an ambush and getting shot in the back.
  • T Roof – A position near T Tunnel that is the complete opposite. It is an elevated area that gives terrorists a good view and the ability to control several approaches to the hostage location.
  • CT Left – Simplicity continues 😊! After spawning as a counter-terrorist, you will see two movement options: left and right. If you choose the CT Left location, you will get to Long.
  • CT Right – If you go right in this situation, you will head toward Market. CT Left and CT Right are Italy map callouts parallel to each other and narrow closer to CT Spawn. As a result, we see a V-shaped figure on the map.
  • Market – A large open space located to the right of CT Spawn and the left of T Spawn. Due to the abundance of free space and objects to take cover behind, it creates good conditions for varied gunfights.
  • House Window – If you leave the open space of the map and enter a building, you will get inside a house. The House Window position is in the center of this house (and, accordingly, the map). This spot can be equally helpful for terrorists and counter-terrorists. That is why it is a frequent place of shootings between teams.
  • Bedroom – A position that is obviously located inside the house. This spot is not very convenient for AWPing but is excellent for close-range combat using pistols, rifles, and SMGs.

  • Mid Boost – This is one of the few CS2 Italy callouts where players can gain a significant advantage using a boost (meaning one player stands on another’s back). This spot is in the central part of the map. It can be used equally effectively by both terrorists and counter-terrorists.
  • Left Street – And once again, we are talking about positions where you just need to know where left and right are 😊. This is a street located to the left of T Spawn. Counter-terrorists can access it if they turn right at the start of the round and go through Market.
  • Right Street – This position is the opposite. It is located to the right of CT Spawn. The map developers have given counter-terrorists two attack options using passages positioned in different corners. You can’t deny this map’s variety!
  • Upper Cellar – A position parallel to Bedroom. This elevated area allows players to appear in the enemy’s field of view suddenly. Of course, in this case, the player gets the right to fire first, which means a significant advantage over the opponent.
  • Lower Cellar – A position located next to Upper Cellar. One of the interesting callouts Italy, which allows players to take part in vertical gunfights. The player on the upper level has a slight advantage because they can conveniently throw grenades at the opponent. For example, the a single Molotov cocktail can temporarily suppress resistance below.
  • Long – An extended area located to the right of T Spawn. It gives excellent opportunities for long-range gunfights using sniper rifles.
  • Stairs Room – A location created for fans of close combat. It is located on the far right side of the map when viewed from a top-down tactical perspective. Snipers in such positions become easy prey since one missed shot can cost them their lives.
  • Below Stairs – At first glance, this position may not seem very dangerous. However, cunning players often set up ambushes here. They eliminate inattentive opponents or simply those too lazy to check this location.

How to Learn Italy Map Callouts in CS2?

As we said at the very beginning, learning Italy callouts is very simple because their names are not difficult at all. For example, what is the name of the position located immediately to the left of CT? Yep, CT Left. What is the name of the room with the stairs? You’re goddamn right: Stairs Room. That’s it. Everything is straightforward!

  • Nevertheless, we recommend first looking at the tactical image of the map and roughly understanding where each position is located.
  • Then, launch an empty server and see what these spots look like in the game. After that, you can already say you are ready for real matches. If you are unsure of your knowledge, keep an image of the map and the callouts open in front of you. This way, you will make your gameplay more enjoyable and do your team a favor by not ruining rounds due to mistakes.
  • Overall, there is no reason to worry. Italy is all about fun, action, constant movement, and adrenaline. Many people play without voice chat at all, so your lack of knowledge about positions in the early stages will, in most cases, not cause significant problems.

Italy Map Tips and Tricks for CT and T Sides

For Counter-Terrorists

  • Do not waste time, never stand in one place for too long. CS has created the stereotype that the CT side can play slowly and safely. But this is not the case because the initiative is in your hands here. Remember, you not only need to find the hostages and “activate” them but also bring them to the evacuation point. If you face enemy resistance, this process will take even more time. There is a high risk that you won’t make it in time.
  • Always buy grenades if your team’s economy allows it. Even though there are no sites here, and terrorists do not plant the bomb, the Italy map has several zones where snipers pose a serious threat. If you push these areas “just like that”, a single enemy with an AWP can take down your entire team. A flashbang, smoke, or Molotov is your best solution.
  • Pick up hostages only if you have support from teammates. Simply put, you need “bodyguards”. Of course, this does not apply to clutch situations where you are the last one alive. Attempting to be a hero and rescuing hostages alone is a risky move that usually fails. Of course, if your enemies have at least a basic understanding of this map and the game itself.

For Terrorists

  • Just standing near the hostages is a bad idea. It may seem the easiest way to prevent them from being rescued by CTs, but it’s not. First, you will always be in a losing position because enemies can attack you with prefire. They know you are there! Second, skilled opponents will always throw one or more flashbangs first. With your screen completely white, you won’t be able to fight back.
  • Whenever possible, take sniper positions: Long, Snipe Window. Often, rounds that end in victory for the terrorist side begin with early frags from these spots. After losing several players, opponents frequently start to act chaotically and disorganized.
  • Switch between aggressive and passive playstyles. For example, you can play a few rounds in deep defense, after which you can use a push for a few rounds, meeting opponents where they don’t expect to see you. This game “arrhythmia” is helpful on all maps, but this tactic works exceptionally well on hostage maps, where most players play more or less relaxed.
